We’re thrilled to announce that MyGig, Australia’s next-generation AI-powered workforce management & Employer of Record (EOR) platform, has successfully raised over $1 million in a Pre-Seed funding round — and it was oversubscribed.
A vote of confidence
The round attracted strong interest from a mix of strategic and early-stage investors who believe in MyGig’s mission: making staffing, compliance, payroll, and shift-work simpler, fairer, more reliable — all powered by smart tech.
With this funding, we’ll accelerate product development, strengthen our tech infrastructure, expand our team, and roll out more features to better serve both businesses and workers across Australia.
Why the timing matters
The challenges faced by businesses trying to hire casual, shift-based labour have only become more complex: compliance with awards and entitlements, payroll intricacies, worker reliability, onboarding overheads and no-shows. Meanwhile, many gig and shift workers seek transparency, fairness, timeliness, and respect.
MyGig has built a platform that tackles those issues head-on:
- Businesses can post shifts, hire, roster, manage attendance and payroll, all in one place.
- Workers get matched, onboarded, paid, and supported through a transparent mobile experience.
- Our proprietary Award Interpretation Engine ensures compliance with Australia’s complex industrial and employment law as you go.
What we’ll do with the new capital
Here are the key priorities for this new round:
- Product & Tech – Accelerate development of features that improve compliance, reliability, worker matching, and time & attendance (including geofencing, clock-in/clock-out improvements).
- Team expansion – Hire in key roles across engineering, operations, compliance & product. Building capacity to serve more businesses and workers.
- Scaling operations – Increase our ability to onboard new clients and workers swiftly, improve infrastructure, support real-time payroll & payments.
- Market growth – Expand across additional industries, refine our worker pool, and reach more regions across Australia.
What this means for businesses & workers
For businesses: fewer headaches, fewer compliance risks, faster fills for their casual workforce, more predictability and less admin.
For workers: fair pay, timely onboarding, clarity of entitlements, flexibility and transparency in shifts, payouts & rights.
Looking Ahead
We see this funding round as just the beginning. The focus for MyGig in the coming months will be:
