Five steps, none of them yours.
- Clock-off closes the shift. Geo-fenced clock-in and clock-out give the pay run its hours; the business approves them in the app.
- The engine prices the shift. Award, classification, casual loading, the penalty stream for the day and time, and the allowances the shift triggered, each with its clause. The same calculation the business saw before booking.
- The pay run happens that night. Not on Thursday and not on the 15th. Every day MyGig employs someone on a shift, there is a pay run.
- Money lands the next day. Through the worker’s MyGig wallet, with the itemised payslip in the app: base, loading, penalties, allowances, super.
- Super, PAYG and STP follow the pay. Superannuation is calculated on each day’s pay and paid alongside it, PAYG is withheld, and Single Touch Payroll is lodged directly to the ATO.

Who is the employer, and who runs the payroll?
MyGig. As the Employer of Record, MyGig employs the worker, runs the payroll, withholds PAYG and pays superannuation. MyGig is a registered Digital Service Provider (DSP) with the ATO, lodging Single Touch Payroll directly from its own payroll system. The business gets one invoice per shift, with wages, on-costs and the flat 15% service fee itemised.
How does daily payroll fit Payday Super?
From 1 July 2026 the ATO requires superannuation to follow each payday rather than the quarter. A daily pay run means super is calculated on each day’s pay and paid alongside it, which is the shape Payday Super now asks of every employer. The ATO is the authority on the deadlines and the earnings base.
What does the business have to do each pay cycle?
Approve hours. Clock-in is geo-fenced to the site, approved hours flow into the pay run, and the pay run itself, the payslips, the super and the Single Touch Payroll lodgement happen on MyGig’s side. There is no timesheet chasing and no fortnightly run to prepare.
