The platform

Everything between a posted shift and a paid worker.

MyGig runs your flexible workforce as a service: one platform carries screening, matching, award interpretation, time and attendance, daily payroll, super, and invoicing. This page lists what each part actually does - no more, no less.

Award-interpretation compliance engine

The award-interpretation compliance engine prices every hour of every shift against the correct Modern Award before anyone works it. It maps 118 Modern Awards in-house, selects the classification for the role, applies casual loading, weekend and public-holiday penalties, evening and overnight loadings, and daily ordinary-hours overtime rules, and cites the award clause behind each line - on the estimate, the invoice, and the worker’s payslip. That clause-cited output is what makes the numbers auditable rather than assumed. It also keeps this site’s public casual rate tables and both calculators current after every Annual Wage Review. See Compliance & EOR and how Payday Super is handled.

Worker-shift matching

Worker-shift matching ranks vetted workers against each posted shift using verified skills and tickets (forklift LF/LO, RSA, White Card), location, availability, ratings from completed shifts, and the venue’s own Pool of favourites. Pooled regulars see matching shifts first, so reliable workers become the default fill rather than a lucky draw. Network-wide, 90%+ of shifts fill and the no-show rate is 2%. Most Sydney warehouse shifts attract their first qualified applicants within minutes of posting. More in the FAQ.

Demand forecasting

Demand forecasting keeps worker pools deep where shifts are coming: it reads posting patterns across venues, seasons, and suburbs so recruitment and onboarding run ahead of demand rather than behind it. That is why fill rates hold through peaks - the workers were onboarded before the rush, concentrated in the corridors where clients post most (Western Sydney warehousing being the deepest).

Onboarding and screening

Every worker builds a verified profile across 30+ data points before their first shift: identity and right-to-work checks, work history, professional references, skills quizzes for their industries, and high-risk licences verified before a matching shift can be accepted. Sign-up takes workers about 30 minutes, and screening quality is what the 2% no-show rate rests on.

Time and attendance

Clock-on and clock-off happen in the worker app against the booked shift, so approved hours flow straight into pay and invoicing without a paper timesheet or a spreadsheet reconciliation. Supervisors confirm variations rather than keying data; what was worked is what gets priced, paid, and billed.

Daily payroll and superannuation

Payroll runs daily: workers are paid the day after every shift at no cost to them, with PAYG withheld, payslips in the app, and 12% superannuation processed on the same daily cadence to the worker’s fund (Hostplus by default) - up to 365 contribution cycles a year, which is what Payday Super now demands of every employer. Because MyGig Workforce Pty Ltd is the employer, Single Touch Payroll reporting and the 7-business-day super clock are MyGig’s obligations, not the client’s. See daily payroll and the Hostplus partnership.

One invoice

Clients receive a single consolidated invoice per cycle: gross wages, itemised on-costs (super, workers comp, payroll tax), and the flat 15% service fee, matching the estimate shown before each booking was confirmed. Employ Now, Pay Later extends settlement to 7, 14, 30, or 60-day terms while workers stay paid daily. See pricing and payment terms.

Reporting and audit trail

Every shift carries its own record: who worked, hours confirmed, the award classification applied, the clause behind each rate, and what was paid and billed. Cost estimates before booking and clause-cited invoices after mean spend is explainable line by line - to your finance team or to an auditor - without reconstructing it from emails.
