MyGig does not currently operate in Melbourne or anywhere in Victoria. Victoria runs a labour hire licensing scheme, and until MyGig holds the required authorisation there we will not supply workers or take bookings in the state. Our Victorian launch is planned for 2027.
Today MyGig operates as the authorised Employer of Record in NSW, WA, TAS and NT: businesses post shifts and book vetted casual workers for one flat 15% fee, and MyGig carries payroll, superannuation, workers compensation, and Modern Award compliance end to end. Does MyGig operate in Melbourne?
Not yet. MyGig operates as the authorised Employer of Record in NSW, WA, TAS and NT, and does not currently supply workers in Victoria. The Victorian launch is planned for 2027. When will MyGig launch in Melbourne?
Victoria is planned for 2027, alongside Queensland. The exact date depends on completing the authorisations Victoria requires of labour hire providers - we won’t take a single booking before that’s done.
What can Melbourne businesses do in the meantime?
