What the service will include

Built for the realities of aged care.

Screening evidence for every worker: the police certificate or NDIS Worker Screening Clearance the Aged Care Act calls for, with issue date, expiry and the date MyGig sighted it, so your own record is complete before the shift.

Shifts will be priced under the Aged Care Award by the award engine, with night, weekend and public holiday penalties in the estimate before you book and the clause cited on every hour.

One itemised invoice per shift, wages, on-costs and the flat 15% service fee shown, so every filled hour is traceable.

Shifts will be priced under the Aged Care Award (MA000018), with the clause cited on every priced hour. Current casual rates and key terms are published in our Aged Care Award guide. Posting a shift will take about 60 seconds once the service opens, or you will be able to describe it to Amy in a sentence.

The rules, cited to the regulator.

Employment and safety law is stated here as the regulator states it, with the source linked. Check your own obligations with the regulator; nothing on this page is legal advice.

When will MyGig take aged care bookings?

Not yet. The residential aged care service launches in NSW in November 2026. Register interest on this page and we will contact you before it opens.

What worker screening does the Aged Care Act require?

The Department of Health and Aged Care's worker screening guidance under the Aged Care Act 2024 says workers, including those supplied through labour hire, need a police certificate under three years old with no precluding offences or a valid NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, and that the provider remains responsible. MyGig will place only workers who hold one of the two and will give you the details to record. Check the guidance for your service.

Will MyGig supply registered or enrolled nurses?

Not at launch. The November 2026 service covers care workers and support roles under the Aged Care Award. Nursing placements depend on clinical governance and insurance arrangements MyGig has not put in place yet, and will be announced separately if they proceed.

Which award applies, and what about penalties?

Care worker and support roles in residential aged care are priced under the Aged Care Award (MA000018). Night, weekend and public holiday penalties are set by the award and calculated by the engine; the current casual rate table is published in our award guide.
