Built for the realities of school support.
Every worker placed in a school will hold a NSW Working with Children Check that MyGig has verified and the national child safety training, with the details supplied for the school to record and re-verify.
Support roles will be priced under the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award by the award engine, with the clause cited on every hour; the current casual rate table is already published in our award guide.
Exam weeks, excursions and term-start peaks staffed shift by shift rather than through a term-long booking.
Shifts will be priced under the Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award (MA000076), with the clause cited on every priced hour. Current casual rates and key terms are published in our Educational Services (Schools) General Staff Award guide. Posting a shift will take about 60 seconds once the service opens, or you will be able to describe it to Amy in a sentence.

When will MyGig take school bookings?
Not yet. School support staffing follows the childcare launch in late 2026, NSW first. Register interest on this page and we will contact you before it opens.
Does MyGig supply casual relief teachers?
No. Casual relief teaching is a day-rate, accreditation-based engagement that is not part of this service. NSW public schools book casual teachers directly; MyGig covers support roles for Catholic and independent schools.
Who verifies the Working with Children Check?
In NSW, child-related work requires a Working with Children Check issued by the Office of the Children's Guardian, and the employer or school verifies the worker's clearance on the OCG portal. MyGig will verify each worker's check and give the school the number to run its own verification. Check the OCG guidance for your obligations.
