Hire event staff for the whole run, not just the doors.
An event is really several jobs stacked together. Pack-in needs hands and steel caps, doors need ushers and ticket scanners who can hold a queue, service needs bar and food staff who have done it before, and pack-out needs people who will still be standing at 1am. MyGig lets you post each of those as its own shift with its own requirements, so you are not hoping one generic crew covers all four.
Every applicant has been vetted before they can accept, with tickets and RSA verified where the role calls for it, and you can see profiles before confirming. Because MyGig is the Employer of Record, the crew are our employees for those hours: payroll, superannuation, workers compensation and award compliance sit with us, and you get one invoice at a flat 15% service fee on wages and on-costs.
Founding client offer: the 15% fee on your first shift is credited back in full. See the offer →
Roles we fill, vetted before they arrive.
Every events worker is verified on 30+ data points - tickets, references, ratings, and skills quizzes. Hospitality Industry (General) Award (MA000009) applied per shift.

Event work is where MyGig started. Sydney is the strongest market by a distance, including Sydney Olympic Park, Moore Park and the Darling Harbour precinct. We also operate in WA, TAS and NT, where the pools are newer and better suited to smaller crews.
Good questions, straight answers.
How far ahead should I post an event shift?
For a large crew or a date competing with other events, a week or more gives you the best pick of applicants. Smaller crews often fill in Sydney within hours. There is no cost to posting early and no cancellation penalty if the scope changes before the shift is confirmed.
Can I book different roles for the same event?
Yes. Post pack-in, service and pack-out as separate shifts with different start times, headcounts and requirements. They appear on the same invoice, and the estimate breaks the cost down by shift so you can see where the crew budget is actually going.
Who covers the crew for insurance?
MyGig does. As the authorised Employer of Record we hold the workers compensation policy for every worker on every shift, and we carry public liability. You are directing the work, not employing the people, so the employment obligations do not transfer to you.
What does event staff hire cost?
The award rate for the role plus casual loading and any penalties for that date and time, plus on-costs, plus a flat 15% service fee. Everything is itemised on an estimate before you book, and you only pay for hours actually worked.
