Retail Assistant jobs in Brisbane: MyGig isn't live here yet.

Brisbane retail anchors on the Queen Street Mall, Chermside and Garden City, with strong suburban centre trade across the growth corridors. The city’s retail casual market is deep, and its staffing peaks follow the familiar rhythm: weekends, school holidays and the Christmas quarter.

Retail assistant shifts run seven days with real weekend penalty rates, and every centre in the country has floors that need covering. No formal tickets are typically required to start; vetting covers identity, references and role skills.

We don't offer shifts in Brisbane yet, and this page won't pretend otherwise. Queensland is planned for 2027. Today MyGig operates as the authorised Employer of Record in NSW, WA, TAS and NT. The award facts below apply nationally, so you can see what retail assistant work pays while you wait, and register your interest so you hear the moment Brisbane opens.
