Published adult casual rates start from $34.76/hr as at 1 July 2026, including the 25% casual loading. Higher classifications, penalties and allowances can apply on top.

What does a casual retail assistant get paid in Brisbane?
Retail assistant work in this industry is typically priced under the General Retail Industry Award (MA000004). No formal tickets are typically required. MyGig vetting covers identity, right to work, references and role skills once, and then you can accept retail assistant shifts as they open.
Does MyGig operate in Brisbane?

When do I get paid?
The day after every shift, at no cost to you. Pay is calculated against the correct award classification with casual loading, and 12% superannuation is paid with each pay run rather than quarterly.
